Hi We have two damp rooms in our 1930s brick house we would like to get looked at. We were cleaning one of the rooms today and noticed some mould along the edge of the wall. We want to insulate in the walls as these rooms are the coldest in our house. There is an exisiting skylight that needs to be replaced. It will need framed and boxed to change the existing skylight into two seperate skylights. The skylight that remains in the bedroom needs to be an opening skylight to support the ventilation requirement for healthy homes and the other skylight that will be in the hallway can be fixed pane. I recently bought a house which has a small open landing porch at my main door, but it would be much more useful if someone was able to enclose it by extending the sides and putting some sort of roofing over it. Looking for ideas and quotes. No time frame, but of course it will be most beneficial with it being winter now and the porch is quite slippery as it never dries out properly in winter.
