Industrial style hallway needs finishing - awkward job

Posted 11 months ago

This is an unfinished project. I live by the port in Lyttelton and wanted to bring that aesthetic to the entrance of my house so have experimented with stainless steel. The front door has worked well. But we had some complications with the interior, and it all got a bit much for the guy who took the job on. So here I am. This is an awkward job and is not going to suit the majority of tradies. But for somebody, this is an opportunity to work on something unique, use a broad skill set,...

Fix bathroom floor

Posted 5 months ago

Water has been leaking through grout and under bathroom tiles. Had a tiler in to regrout but he said there appears to be too much water under the tiles and recommended a builder. I assume tiles need to be pulled up and the floor checked etc. Needs to be done as soon as possible to prevent further damage. Area affected appears to be most of the bathroom. ... . You can hear water squelch underneath some of the tiles when you stand on them in the shower and near the toilet.

20ft Container Refurbishment

Posted 10 months ago

We have a 20ft container in excellent condition on a piece of land above Little Akaloa on Banks Peninsula (about one hours drive from Chch) – there is already a wee hut on the land, but we would like to expand the ability to have friends and family stay there with us by converting the container into a basic sleeping area. Here's the catch; access is via a 4WD track only - i'm not sure how the container was originally positioned on the land!, there is no power there either. I have attached...
