I have a decromastic roof laid over an old metal roof. It has been leaking around the chimney and will need to be repaired. The roofer will remove the existing 1940 chimney while repairing the roof. We need an existing table altered to make the top wider and the height taller. I am envisioning a flap that can be folded down while not in use but is also able to withstand a lot of pressure when it is. Ceiling and insulation

We'd like some insulation installed between the exposed beams under the roof in our living/dining area, and then some jib panels or similar nailed onto the beams to form a ceiling. Other suggested solutions are welcome. The highest point of the ceiling is five metres from the floor. We'd like the job to include plastering, but we can take care of the painting.

Before having the whole roof of a house replaced, we need to confirm what the pitch of part of the roof is. We are overseas, otherwise we would do this ourselves. Specifically, we need to know whether the pitch of the roof over the kitchen (which was an addition to the house) is over 3 degrees. The relevant part of the roof is circled in red in the photos.

Moving a ceiling strut from a load bearing wall

Looking at removing a small wall in my little 2 bed unit which I am fairly certain is load bearing (between dining and lounge). Happy to remove the wall myself but have been advised I will need to have a ceiling strut moved as there is currently one small strut running to the wall in question. Also unsure if moving the strut would require building consent so would love advice on that. No timeframe, as per photo I have removed paneling and there is no bracing or anything
