My lounge and dining used to be open plan until they added a room upstairs. They enclosed the new staircase which separated the lounge/dining. I'm wanting to open it up again by exposing the underneath of the stairs. I've ripped the gib off and need a builder to assess the load-bearing situation, cut out all excess timber, and finish all the edging details.

Stepping out a concrete path

I have quite a steep concrete path that I would like to step out. Haven’t decided if I want solid wedges drilled into the concrete base or boxes made that I could fill. I guess it would come down to cost probably. The path at the bottom of the hill is filled with river stone. In the winter the concrete path is quite treacherous so I want something safe and elderly friendly. The path is about 15m long and there is two slight bends. It is about 1m wide.

3 holes to be drilled into non reinforced concrete 10 mm diam by 140mm deep . Through 40mm board then 100 mm into concrete, Need right angle drill due to location, trench is 200 mm wide. My drill wont fit . Access good.
