Framing inspection and cladding work

We potentially need to replace a timber framed kitchen window with an aluminium framed one. Before that happens we would like someone to inspect the interior framing around the window/kitchen to make sure there are no nasties there and the window team could successfully install. As part of the install (if framing ok) we would need flashing work done with our cladding around the frame. Would like the inspection asap (this week)

We have a second story room that has water coming in from the top corner of the window from the inside, it drips down the plasterboard, we are not able to locate the source of the water whether it is coming into the room from the window or tracking in from the roof elsewhere. There doesn't see to be any noticeable water marks are on the plasterboard higher than the window however.
