Wooden windows repair - first floor

Posted 6 hours ago

I have one large first floor wooden window (triple pane) which we suspect needs a complete replacement (pictured), and also four adjacent single windows each with rot (pictured). Both restorations in a style to match the original in an art deco classic building. It is a first floor apartment in a stucco building, and will require (possibly suit mobile?) scaffolding to replace it safely. Scaffolding access will be from a level asphalt surface (courtyard) for the large window. We'd like to arrang...

Skirting for staircase

Posted 1 day ago

I am in the process of decorating - in the hall I have 2 internal stairs, 1 x 6 step, 1 x 7 step and would like to have skirting board installed on them both. From a finish perspective I would like one full piece of timber on each side of the steps as opposed to individual mitred timber on each step (hope that makes sense). There is also a small hall that needs skirting. Some remedial work is required on each set of stairs as I will be installing a wood flooring on to them. One set of the s...

Earring stands

I'm looking at having a couple of earring stands made. The same as the stands in the pictures. Out of similar wood. First stand I would like to be 32cm high. I'd like 3 rails. No holes necessary like in photo. Instead I would like the dowel to be a smaller diameter so earrings can be hung over them. Rails at 10,20 and 30cm. Second block stand. 20x20cm cut outs should be around 3mm wide. And spaced 3cm apart giving me 6 rows. The third stand I would like 30cm wide and 26cm high. Rather...
