At Wood In Spirit, we specialize in renovating older homes in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, and take pride in our carpentry skills. We don’t just build; we also reuse materials from our projects to provide affordable and sustainable solutions. We handle everything from small repairs like windows and doors to larger renovations and extensions.

Dan (Director) is fully qualified and licensed, with 10 years of experience in Auckland and Bay of Plenty. He has also studied horticulture to understand timber better, starting his journey in landscaping before moving into carpentry. Dan loves creating spaces that people will cherish for generations.

At Wood In Spirit we also have big dreams to educate others in the trade, teaching valuable skills while reducing waste in our industry and country. So, even if we don’t get the opportunity to work with you now, keep us on your radar ☺️

Kindergarten ramp

Had the awesome experience to build an up to code, timber framed, wheelchair accessibility ramp. Most of these are built in concrete now, so it’s a rare opportunity to build one this big using timber. Thanks to a great architect we had good plans to follow, though we still had some head scratching moments to overcome. All in all, very proud of the work here.
