I have a house that is about 10 years old. I have alot of LED downlight in the house. During peak hours the lights flicker for a minute or two and buzz. Ususlly around 7am, 6pm 8pm etc. I've had an electrician out and he confirmed and tightened all fightings,plugs and was unsure of the cause. The power company also tightened wires at the road. I believe I may be affected by ripple control (i dont have a hot water cylinder, I'm on gas) and believe I may need s ripple control filter installed. Th...

Spotlights keep blowing

We have two spotlights that point outside onto the bbq area where the spotlight bulbs keep blowing. They are operated from separate switches inside but the bulbs only last a couple of days. It’s been an ongoing issue since we brought the house from new 8 or so years ago. Our neighbour had a similar issue but had the electrician replace a dodgy transformer (or something). We also have a halogen bulb in the ceiling inside where the connection isn’t quite right.
