Electric Car Charge Point: Our 300,000th Job

Builderscrack started out in 2007, with the simple goal of connecting homeowners to tradies. Fast forward 12 years and we are excited to be celebrating such a significant milestone… Our 300,000th Job To have had the opportunity to help homeowners find tradies for 300,000 jobs is both exciting and a privilege. From all of us here at Builderscrack we want to say a big THANK YOU to our homeowners and tradespeople, without you we wouldn't be here. The Job Mark from Auckland, a busy doctor at Auckland's Middlemore Emergency department, posted our 300,00th job. He had recently purchased an electric car and needed a charging port installed in his garage, with the idea of upgrading to the full power charger unit down the track. With this in mind, he wanted the job done in such a way that all the wiring was in place for the future upgrade. Mark posted his job on Builderscrack, having used it on numerous occasions since moving from England several years ago. Describing it as "

Sitting across from a woman that packs so much into her days is inspiring, not only because of that drive but the clever way she has arranged her life to make it possible. She tells me "I’m doing a full-time PhD and I’m doing full-time work, so for me, I have lots to do and absolutely no time. I also have a teenager who’s almost 16, who is extremely social. 3 face plates mounted + 2 ethernet cables routed. (I have the stuff)

Posted 3 months ago

Hi, I have 3 faceplates and 2 ethernet cables and I need them routed from the Office to Bedroom 1 & 2. Basically this is what needs doing: A hole cut in each of the 3 walls, the 3 faceplates mounted, and the 2 cables routed through the attic area. There is easy access to the attic. There is no "cabling/networking" work that needs to be done - the cables will plug straight from the modem in the office into each computer in the bedrooms. I work from home so anytime during the day suits, and I can...

Wire in underbench oven, hob and add Powerpoints to kitchen

A flood in the kitchen has ruined our kitchen cabinetry and we are taking the opportunity to remodel it. We have an existing freestanding oven, and intend to replace this with an underbench oven and in-bench hob. I am aware this may require an additional circuit be added to support this. Both the oven and hob would ideally use a plug rather than being hardwired but happy to be guided. Five to six powerpoints and one light switch need to moved or added to appropriate places.
