Electric Car Charge Point: Our 300,000th Job

Builderscrack started out in 2007, with the simple goal of connecting homeowners to tradies. Fast forward 12 years and we are excited to be celebrating such a significant milestone… Our 300,000th Job To have had the opportunity to help homeowners find tradies for 300,000 jobs is both exciting and a privilege. From all of us here at Builderscrack we want to say a big THANK YOU to our homeowners and tradespeople, without you we wouldn't be here. The Job Mark from Auckland, a busy doctor at Auckland's Middlemore Emergency department, posted our 300,00th job. He had recently purchased an electric car and needed a charging port installed in his garage, with the idea of upgrading to the full power charger unit down the track. With this in mind, he wanted the job done in such a way that all the wiring was in place for the future upgrade. Mark posted his job on Builderscrack, having used it on numerous occasions since moving from England several years ago. Describing it as "

Now in her mid-twenties she has taken up his advice and this year started her training as an electrician. She is studying at the Waikato Institue of Technology (Wintec) on the Electrical Pre-Trade Training course, aimed at getting students ready for apprenticeship. Demi is one of only four women on the course and has teamed up with Mere, another inspirational women who is training in her 30's, all while having the pressure of children and family commitments. After the polytech based first year, each of the girls will be required to find and start an apprenticeship. Not only is Noema the inspiration and encourageme

Busy homeowner Michelle holds down parenting, full-time work and studying towards her PhD. She shares with us how she used Builderscrack to outsource her housework so she could focus on the important stuff... How It Started To say Michelle is a driven person is an understatement. Sitting across from a woman that packs so much into her days is inspiring, not only because of that drive but the clever way she has arranged her life to make it possible. She tells me "I’m doing a full-time PhD and I’m doing full-time work, so for me, I have lots to do and absolutely no time. I also have a teenager who’s almost 16, who is extremely social. Every weekend there are at least five to seven friends invited, and they are having a sleepover. I come home, and I'm like, “I left it nice and tidy, what happened?”.  Michelle and her son moved into their home three years ago, and with a laugh explains “how things were starting to fall apart and in need of repair”. Extend/Add additional power point

Posted 5 days ago

I have a power point in my roof space that is currently used to run my HRV system. i want to put my modem in the roof to aid in getting good coverage. i was originally just going to put in a double adapter, but apparently that isn't a recommended approach. I simply want to add another power point as part of/next to the existing one. Photo supplied to show current set up. Note that this is very easily accessible - pretty much right next to the roof access.
