Hamish delivers! It was a pleasure to have him do a whole raft of work for us when we moved into our new home. Hamish is a great communicator - keeps you informed of what is being done. Punctual, courteous and thorough - no request was too big an ask for Hamish; he just gets it done. Aside from doing things from installing lights, to plugs, to data cables, Hamish also gave some sound and practical advice on a few things. He also explained his rates up front and there were no surprises when the invoice came. All in all for us being new in the area we now have the reassurance that we know a reliable and competent sparkie! We cannot recommend Hamish and Trnsform Electrical high enough. This was our first time using Hamish from Transform Electrical, and what stood out most was his responsiveness, professionalism and commitment to making sure the job was completed properly and our home was safe. We initially contacted Hamish after discovering a burning smell and discolouration around our switchboard. He identified a loose connection and an RCD that was undersized for the electrical load. When he showed us the damaged RCD, we were shocked by the extent of the melting and burning and realised how serious the fault could have become. Hamish replaced the damaged RCD, checked the switchboard and clearly explained what had happened. The initial repair was completed quickly, and while he was there, we also asked him to replace several old and worn electrical sockets throughout our home. He was friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and professional, worked efficiently and left everything clean and tidy. Later that evening, we experienced an issue following the switchboard work and lost power to the kitchen when the stove was turned on. To Hamish’s credit, when I contacted him, he immediately took responsibility and offered to return. Even though I told him we could wait until the following day, he said he would be there within 15 minutes and came back that evening to investigate and correct the issue. That level of accountability and commitment says a great deal about the quality of a tradesperson. We also discussed installing a bathroom heater, but after assessing what would be involved, Hamish gave us practical advice that it was not worth the additional work. I appreciated his honesty rather than being encouraged to proceed with unnecessary work. I have not received the final pricing yet, but after the level of commitment and service Hamish demonstrated, my experience is not being driven by the cheapest price. Quality workmanship, accountability, communication and knowing that the safety of our home is being taken seriously are far more important. Hamish went above and beyond to ensure everything was operating safely before he left. I would confidently use Transform Electrical again and highly recommend Hamish to anyone looking for an electrician who is professional, honest, responsive and genuinely stands behind his work. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reply: Thank you so much for the detailed review, Diane!
