We have an offer on a house and the building report has shown black dux quest. The report says 'only parts of black dux quest were found in the house'. The house is single storey and is 100sqm. We would like to fix it shortly after settlement at the end of March. We are looking for a plumber, that wants to build us a new bathroom (plans and council consent in progress). 2x3m with bathtub / shower, toilet and vanity and of cause all connections ( fresh water and drains). The floor, bathtub and some walls need tiling as well. Bath tub, vanity, toilet, tiles, tabware will be provided Not provided are conneting parts and the new lines for hot water / tubes to septic tank. Job should be conducted end of Aug - mid Oct 2018. We have a large sump in our front yard. Despite being urban, we are not connected to stormwater drainage, thus all our roof water and rainwater is collected in the sump ........with nowhere to go. I am pretty sure that the sump is silted up - as soon as the rain starts the sump is full. Is it possible to get the sump pumped out and sludge removed? Concrete water tank needs cleaning out. I'm unsure if there is a manhole as it is a couple of meters off of the ground. This is fed by the Redwood Water Scheme. I inadvertently drained the tank irrigating/cleaning/washing yesterday and now brown sludge is still coming through.
