Auckland Plumbers For Fixing Drips, Installing Pipes And So Much More

We all know just how stinking hot Auckland can be in Summer (at least by New Zealand standards anyway). Of course it can get pretty darn cold in winter too! Definitely too cold to be swimming at Cheltenham beach. It’s more the kind of weather that makes you want to stand under a hot shower all day, every day.

However, if we want Auckland’s water usage to remain the lowest per capita in the country (good work Auckland) we probably shouldn’t make a habit of doing this! What we do want to make sure of though, particularly heading in to winter is that our hot water system is working! So who you gonna call?

Auckland Plumbers

Boasting more than one million people, and New Zealand’s biggest food court at Sylvia Park, you can be certain that there is always demand for hard working plumbers in Auckland!

However, there’s also an increasing amount of so called ‘handy man services’ getting around Auckland at the moment that will offer great prices and claim that they can fix anything, but be warned sometimes they are not actually certified to do the required job. It’s a nation wide requirement in New Zealand that all plumbers must have completed their national certificate in Plumbing (4 years) as well as be currently licenced for that trade.

This is why it’s always better to get any work, particularly plumbing, done by a qualified professional. All plumbing works are required by law to be carried out by a certified plumber. Exemptions to the rule include minimal tasks such as replacing washers and taps and hooking up washing machines to existing piping.

Plumbing jobs can vary a lot and can be as simple as unblocking your toilet, finding out where that mysterious water is coming from, installing complete piping systems for your home, fixing swimming pool water problems or even upgrading your hot water service.

The average hourly rate of plumbers in Auckland is $85 per hour, but it can still often be hard work finding a reliable plumber at that price, especially in an emergency.

Where to look

Thankfully Builderscrack has made finding a qualified plumber in Auckland a lot easier than it use to be! No more trying to scrawl down the contact number on the plumbers van in front of you at the traffic lights.

Builderscrack easily allows you to put up a job online to find the right plumber for you. Simply enter the job details, your suburb, any specifics required and when you need the work completed.

After that, all you have to do is sit back and have the qualified plumbers come to you. You can view their profiles, see whether they have good feedback and references. Most importantly though, you can request that they come out and inspect the job and provide you with a quote.

Homes On Show - Save My Bathroom

Behind every job there is a story. This one starts with a homeowner, and a vision to renovate her bathroom from an outdated 1970’s relic to a modern, clean, and functional bathroom. The Dilemma The story starts with Joanne and her first tradie, a referral from a friend. The tradie seemed great. The homeowner and the tradie agreed that Joanne would buy everything that was needed for the bathroom, and the tradie gave her a cost to install and renovate to her plan. Fast forward three months and the tradie was nowhere to be seen and uncontactable. With the goods for her bathroom waiting in Mitre 10 and a loan taken out for the project, Joanne was desperate to get the job underway. The Solution “I spoke to someone at work, saying I didn’t know what to do. I needed to have my bathroom renovated, and my colleague said, have you put it on Builderscrack? Then they showed me how Builderscrack works, how to log on and use the site. I put the advert on the next day, and within two
