Learn more about the trades we cover.
Got a bit of this and a bit of that which needs doing at your place? Sick of hiring lots of tradies to do lots of tiny little jobs? Then you need to use one of Wellington’s best handymen who are available right here at Builderscrack!
A handyman is the ultimate tradie! Handymen are great at tackling so many of the little jobs which we find tricky and bothersome to do. They will also happily complete those medium sized jobs which specialised tradespeople may not want to do. Best of all Wellington has an awesome range of handymen who can tackle jobs on their own which would usually require multiple tradesmen, such as being able to fix your leaky toilet, plaster and paint your bathroom and mow your lawns!
Services Offered By Wellington Handymen
A jack-of-all-trades loves to concentrate on doing all those little jobs around your house waiting to be done. Our capital’s handymen turn their hands to providing many different services and consequently have a wide range of skills and experiences to offer home owners and landlords. So whether your property needs a makeover or some maintenance, a handyman is often the right person for the job!
Some of the general services they offer include:
Each property repair person is different and brings with them a unique set of skills to the jobs they do. Every home repairman will be able to offer their own range of services, making it important for you to be certain about what your job will entail when looking to hire a handyman. One of the best ways to do this is to have them visit your property and give you a quote on the job/s which need doing and let them see exactly what is involved.
Some jobs will require the services of a professional builder, plumber or electrician. Your handyperson will be able to arrange the right professional to come and help them complete your job safely. Local handymen from around the Wellington region also have a wealth of knowledge about our windy weather, areas which are prone to flooding and slips, where to source local products for your home at the lowest prices.
Are Handymen Licenced Building Practitioners?
A Licenced Building Practitioner (LBP) is a tradesperson who has been certified as being able to carry out specific trade work to a high standard. If work on a property will have an impact on that building’s weather tightness or structure, an LBP is required by law to complete that job. With most handymen being skilled in a wide range rather than specialising in just one type of trade work, most are not LBPs. However some LBPs promote themselves as being a handyman, capable of tackling both the little jobs and larger more specialised jobs an LBP must do such as re-roofing or building an extension to a house.
