Navigating Wet Lawns - One Family's Solution

Hiring Jared, from Firth Landscapes, for a few days work was the ideal solution to put an end to one family's soggy lawn crossings this winter...... The Job Liz needed a garden path extended. One already existed, but it stopped short of the lawn, which meant that every time anyone in her family went to the washing line, or woodshed, they had a stretch of often wet and muddy lawn to cross. Liz had the pavers to match her existing path, she had made the plan and measured up exactly where the path would go, all she needed was to find a willing tradie. The Solution It was during this search that she came across builderscrack.co.nz. She immediately liked the way only tradies interested in doing the job were presented to the homeowner. For Liz, who works full time, it meant she could cut out the time-consuming step of “cold-calling” tradies to see if they were even interested in her job. She decided to give this new way of finding a tradie ago, she posted her job, added

Fence staining - garden tidy and replanting

Posted 2 months ago

Ready work done immediately or through the Easter break. There's fencing to stain - easy. Garden involves pulling out some existing plants, weeding, digging over gardens, then planting new plants. This does not require professional skills - just a personal standard and work ethic - and to work in with the builder who is currently working on site as well. Do you have your own tools? If not, can be arranged, but need to know ASAP. Please text or call ... . THANKS

Paving for a 3m x 3m sitting area

Posted 2 months ago

I'm wanting a paved sitting area created that will hold an outdoor table and chairs that seats 6, so approximately 3m x3m. This will also include pavers/stepping stones from the deck to the paved area. The area is slightly sloped so will need digging down at the back end (by fence). The pic shows the rough area it will go - against the fence on the left, out towards the right, but it won't be up against the far wall in the distance, it will be further back than that. Landscaping backyard & retaining wall

Posted 2 months ago

I am looking for landscapers/builders who would be interested in doing the job in April. My backyard is on a steep slope and its very hard to maintain. I am thinking of getting the bottom half of the backyard cemented and getting the retaining walls in place so that when my rottie runs across, the dirt and stones don't come rolling down. I also have a side yard that needs some maintenance. The retaining wall might be higher than 2m but I am happy to go to council to get it approved.
