Metal Box/Cover Fabrication (for shopfront roller door mechanism)

Posted 1 day ago

This is a shop front with a roller door (grate) that comes down overnight, and stays up during the day. Recently removed chain-link (to raise by hand), and installed electric mechanism (to raise by remote), however this mechanism is exposed to the elements. We require a cover for the mechanism to be manufactured, and envisage a relatively simple "box" which can sit over the exposed gears. Aesthetics not important - the main purpose is to protect the mechanism against wind/rain. Ideal time-f...

Modify tow hitch bar to accept securing bolt

Posted 1 week ago

I have a 50mm hitch receiver on my vehicle for towing. The removable towbar that was supplied with the hitch receiver has, in addition to the load-bearing hitch pin, a threaded connection for an optional securing bolt to stop it jiggling. This works great. I have a second, longer, removable towbar with only a hole for the hitch pin (no securing bolt) so it jiggles a lot while driving. *** The required work is to replicate the threaded connection so I can use the same securing bolt on the sec...

Trailer Fabrication

Posted 2 weeks ago

I have built a trailer and was going to attempt to skin it myself but have realized it's way to hard for me. I have all the tin for the project would probably need 2 or 3 people who know what they are doing to come finish it off for me. Top plus 1 side and 2 ends just putting the tin on would be a huge help. I can finish it off The job would entail cutting the tin and putting it up.on the trailer
