Looking for a new section of concrete driveway to be laid, to join our new garage to the existing driveway. The maximum possible area (measuring from the house to the boundary, and garage to existing driveway) would be approximately 4.2m x 8m. The garage sits higher than the existing driveway, so there'd be a slight incline from it up to the garage. Roughly 54 square meters (18*3) Ground will need to be lowered for it (currently there is a soil mixed with gravel there). We've just had a fence put in and we've now got the ability to extend our driveway width-ways up to the new fence. The area is approx. 15 metres long, 500mm wide with variable depth (deepest is approx 200 mm). I have uploaded some photos to get a better idea. ... ... ... Earthquake Damage from the Kaikoura Earthquake Our previous tradesperson has withdrawn from this task. There are cracks in the north wall of the house. The front door no longer closes properly, indeed the floor around the door still bounces. (This was repaired but has now returned to its previous state.) Also, toward the west of the house there is a bouncing floor in a bedroom between the garage and the master bedroom. Twelve piles were recommended to be needed to stabilise the floors....
