Navigating Wet Lawns - One Family's Solution

Hiring Jared, from Firth Landscapes, for a few days work was the ideal solution to put an end to one family's soggy lawn crossings this winter...... The Job Liz needed a garden path extended. One already existed, but it stopped short of the lawn, which meant that every time anyone in her family went to the washing line, or woodshed, they had a stretch of often wet and muddy lawn to cross. Liz had the pavers to match her existing path, she had made the plan and measured up exactly where the path would go, all she needed was to find a willing tradie. The Solution It was during this search that she came across builderscrack.co.nz. She immediately liked the way only tradies interested in doing the job were presented to the homeowner. For Liz, who works full time, it meant she could cut out the time-consuming step of “cold-calling” tradies to see if they were even interested in her job. She decided to give this new way of finding a tradie ago, she posted her job, added

Remove large pile of concrete from rural property

Posted 1 month ago

Hi there, I’m buying a property with a large amount of concrete waste on it - I think it came from footpaths. I’m looking for someone who can remove all the concrete removed from the site. There is also quite a bit of other rubbish on the site to be removed, so if you can do both that would be great, otherwise just the concrete. Hopefully you might be free one day this week to meet on site in Snells Beach and give me a quote for the cost. Thanks!

Gravel Driveway repair

Posted 1 month ago

Hi I’m after someone who can even out our shared gravel driveway as the ruts are causing damage to our cars. It may just need the middle scraped down or it may need new gravel laid and compacted. It is approx 50m long, on an incline and the ground is very hard. We also need something done about the concrete at the top as is scrapes the bottom of all cars coming in and out. As this is a shared driveway I will need a quote to run passed the neighbour before any work is carried out. Cheers

Concrete cutting for drainage on driveway

Two parts to the job: 1. Require 2 cuts across concrete driveway at the road end . There is a severe hump in the drive that is higher than usual, some cars can't get over it, trucks get stuck, etc. Plan is to put a cut either side of the hump, across the driveway (leaving enough curve in driveway to still prevent water flow down drive from the road).
