Repair or replace skylight

We had roofers attempt to fix it - they left a covering on the outside but did not come back to remove it (and they have since disappeared). The skylight leaked anyway in Sunday's heavy rain.

Urgent skylight replacement job! We have an old skylight installed in our kitchen and it seems on this rainy day it has finally bit the dust. It appears to be leaking from the frame rather than the glass. We have noticed it looking a bit compromised for sometime but now there is a sense of urgency. Flashing installed incorrectly

Leaky skylight needs to either be repaired or taken out and replaced with roof tiles (whichever is going to be the less costly option). Accessible from outside (by ladder) and easily from inside. As this is in a room in a rental property this needs to be done as quickly as possible.

Replace skylight to reduce moisture build-up

I'm looking to eliminate moisture build-up on a skylight. I'd be open to alternatives, but the original idea is replacing the skylight and flashing to improve the R-value. The window is approximately 1170x850mm, sitting in a slightly smaller well. I expect something like a Velux VS, VCM or GGU series would be suitable, since they should be installable without outdoor scaffolding.

Our home had skylights in these positions before (years ago before we owned the home) but they were removed. We have a pitched roof, we're on a hill but with easy single storey access on the front side (where one of the skylights in the kitchen will be) and 3 storey height on the other side.

Leaking skylight

We have a ~ 0.7m by 1m double-glazed wooden-framed skylight, maybe 20 years old. It is installed over our single story kitchen iron roof. We have had a slow leak, first noticed as a very occasional drip maybe 18 months ago, but a fair puddle last weekend. We have attempted to use silicon to provide a re-seal, but this has had little effect. The fall of the roof is not significant, more like a lean to, and accessed easily by ladder, with plenty of surrounding roof to work around.
