Outsourcing Housework Freed Up Precious Time For This Busy Homeowner

Busy homeowner Michelle holds down parenting, full-time work and studying towards her PhD. She shares with us how she used Builderscrack to outsource her housework so she could focus on the important stuff... How It Started To say Michelle is a driven person is an understatement. Sitting across from a woman that packs so much into her days is inspiring, not only because of that drive but the clever way she has arranged her life to make it possible. She tells me "I’m doing a full-time PhD and I’m doing full-time work, so for me, I have lots to do and absolutely no time. I also have a teenager who’s almost 16, who is extremely social. Every weekend there are at least five to seven friends invited, and they are having a sleepover. I come home, and I'm like, “I left it nice and tidy, what happened?”.  Michelle and her son moved into their home three years ago, and with a laugh explains “how things were starting to fall apart and in need of repair”. It wasn't only hard findi

Garden Tidy

Posted 5 years ago

We have purchased a 1950s bungalow with heaps of garden. It hasn't been maintained for some time and is fairly overgrown. We have made a start on it but don't really have the tools to make much progress. Would involve weeding, digging, making some small rock surrounds from old bricks and rocks we have here and other similar tasks. Just looking to see how much work it would take. We will be doing a lot more landscaping etc. later on so will be looking for someone to form long term gardening...

I have a 1350 sqm section with a 400 sqm house on it which was heavily planted out approx. 20 years ago. Every year or two it needs the large pittosporum type trees topped & a good trim up of all bushes to bring it back into order. I am guessing there would be approx. 60 hours work for one person. We have an orchard ladder which can be used but it would be best if other equipment required was your own. We are able to load & dump all greenery if left in a large pile. We would also be interes...
