We have 18 years experience in foundations, underpinning and repairing of all concrete and foundation faults , we will work to get all jobs completed in a timely and competent manner. We have bases in Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland and can undertake council applications where needed. AFL works effectively to meet all deadlines whilst keeping the client informed along the way. We are fully insured and are LBPs and provide records of our work upon completion of any structural work.

We own a 1927 Bungalow in Mt Albert with a sketchy past, which unfortunately required a complete re-pile. Not a small job. We got 4-5 quotes and Aidan did a great job on patiently communicating the challenges and walking us through our options (stop gap repairs, staggered phases of work, essential works only, etc). He also outlined the pro’s and con’s on each option and importantly the impacts on the complexity of the consent process. Access were only one of two companies who were prepared to co-ordinate engineers, draftsman's and council consent process as part of an all-in-one service which was great for first home owners like ourselves. When he was quoting, he spent over 20 minutes crawling under the house before crawling out and explaining what he saw to us. He then came back back within 3 days with a detailed quote as promised. We initially went with another company, but after 8 weeks of poor communication and frustration, we switched over to Access. Within 2 weeks he had submitted consent, where we then received a weekly email every Tuesday from Anna just updating us to any changes or just letting us know they were still waiting - peace of mind. When consent was approved, by happy chance they started the very next day. Aidan, Ryan and the team were there every day bright and early, leaving the house and site clean at the end of it. The best part was that at the end of day (nearly every day), I got a text from Aidan about what had happened that day and how they were getting on. Their quote was not the cheapest we saw, but when you’re re-piling your family home - you really don’t want to pay cheap, buy twice. More importantly, their quote and expected tertiary costs (architects, consent, etc) were all within +/- 5% of the estimate, despite a few hiccups along the way which meant we came in on budget. The result is top notch, with the house within 3mm despite spliced bearers, 2 prior extensions 30 years apart, scattered volcanic rock, rotten floor joists and other mickey-mouse work from an old house. Would happily recommend Access Foundations to anyone looking for someone to help with their foundations. (Note some of the actions shots below of before and during work.) Aidan and the Access team have been excellent to work with. Right from the beginning. When Aidan arrived to assess the condition of our house the recommended repairs were well explained. We required underpins at one corner of our house to proceed with renovations. They managed to complete the job in the estimated time and left the property in a tidy state.
