We have 18 years experience in foundations, underpinning and repairing of all concrete and foundation faults , we will work to get all jobs completed in a timely and competent manner. We have bases in Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland and can undertake council applications where needed. AFL works effectively to meet all deadlines whilst keeping the client informed along the way. We are fully insured and are LBPs and provide records of our work upon completion of any structural work.

We initially contacted Access Foundations for a second opinion while we had been in consultation with another foundation repair firm. The foundations under our 1960s brick & tile house was settling and causing cracks in the brickwork. From the initial onsite consultation when we met Aidan it was clear he had the experience and technical knowledge. It was obvious he worked on projects similar to ours himself and could provide us with a direct solution and reassurance the issue we had was not uncommon & could be fixed. Unlike our previous firm, Aidan was then able to come back to us with a clear comprehensive quote. There were no project management fees, further geotechnical assessments and unnecessary engineering ‘design’ costs. We had no hesitation changing firms and moving ahead with Access Foundations. When our project got underway, it was very efficient. Aidan communicated each step of the way. The repairs were unobtrusive and we could go about living in our home like nothing was happening. The repairs to our foundations was made straightforward and stress-free, all thanks to Aidan and his team. We knew what was being carried out and what it would cost. The team at Access Foundations have been excellent to deal with. Prompt from the get-go with the initial inspection of our single story 4 bdrm 1950’s house in St Heliers. We had a number of issues; cracking interior gib / doors sticking / uneven scotia & architraves / creaky sagging floorboards etc. Though nothing was a problem for Aidan and Ryan, the Business Owners. (including removal of a random garden-pot filled w/concrete used as a pile base during a previous extension!): They provided a thorough & very reasonable quote for 18-19 piles compared to 3 other Foundation Co’s contacted. Both attended daily, communicated clearly about the issues and even found a solution to a tricky area, adding another pile within the original quote. With the equipment they use, coupled with their friendly professionalism and a lot of hard yakka, the job was completed on time to an obviously high standard. I honestly couldn’t recommend Access Foundations more highly. Well worth all the coffees & cookies and they deserve a roof-shout (‘foundation-shout’) beer for a job well done! We had never experienced problems with the foundations of any house we had lived in before. We chose Access after reading about them online and Aidan came to take a thorough look and gave us a very easily understood precis of what had happened and what would need to be done. Our son thought the quote was quite high so we approached another firm who viewed the problem and gave us another quote. We were shocked and quickly said we weren't interested. So we returned to Access as we trusted their integrity and approach. We were quickly assigned a date for a quick start. We were very nervous about the work, having never before experienced anything similar. Aidan and Ryan duly turned up and we were very much reassured by Aidan's explanation of their programme of work and what it was designed to do to cure our problems. They worked incredibly hard given the poor access to the site and every day told us what they had done and communicated so well with us. It was noisy and messy but when they had finished the job (remarkably quickly) the site was left very tidy. I would have no hesitation in contacting Aidan in future if any similar work is needed.
