Skim Coating a Bedroom and Touching up the Hallway

Posted 4 years ago

Hi, We are keen to have a spare bedroom skim coated to a paint quality finish. It's roughly 15-20m2 and in pretty rough condition. The wallpaper has been painted over and is pealing off in places. There are also a few hand size holes where the gib has crumbled away that will need repairing. In addition to the bedroom we are after a few touch ups in the hall. It possibly doesn't need a full skim but has a bunch of cracks and buldges that would be good to tidy up if possible. Open to advic...

The two small windows are also smaller than the original windows so the new concrete 'infill' will also need to be plastered to ensure everything blends back into the main body of the wall. Plastering walls

Posted 4 years ago

Part of our kitchen / dining walls need plastering to a paint finish. Built in cupboards have been removed on one wall and the plasterboard there is very rough and has been painted in some places. One wall that was originally wallpapered has some very bad plastering and is lumpy. The total area is only about 15 square metres but will probably need a fair bit of prep to end up with a smooth enough finish for painting.
