Small dining room needs perfect finish

We have a small dining room, with two large archways and a large window, along with a single door, so not much wall space. Maximum area maybe 20m2. We want to paint this a very dark colour so need a high quality finish to hold the colour without showing imperfections. Some of the ceiling may tidying up too. Also a little bit of spot plastering on a corner in our kitchen where it's been chipped.
