I need 1 side of a bedroom wall gib stopped and plastered in preparation for new wardrobe doors to be installed. The old plasterboard is thicker than the new plasterboard, so the plaster will need packing out to match the thickness of the current wall. Note from my builder regarding the new wardrobe doors and frame: The frame comes with the door. The plasterer won’t need the frame in as the frame will have 10/15mm clearance all around anyway. The architrave covers the edge so he should just plaster up to the opening. The inside of the new wardrobe space also needs gib stopping and skimming in preparation for painting. A small section of the Art Deco scotia has cracked so I’m hoping this can be patched up. I have some plastering materials on-site that can be used, but more may need to be purchased. Painting the wall with supplied paint would also be great, but plastering is the priority.
