Drywall preparing for paint

We are in the process of removing all the old wallpaper from our bedroom, going back to the 1920s. The walls will be fully stripped and sanded. Drywall not in bad condition- have filled a few dints and minor holes, but will need to be primed and then we would like the walls to be plastered so we can paint them ourselves.
