Mt roskill retaining wall piling - Slip stabilisation

For this project, we were engaged to stabilise a slip located directly beneath a three-storey residential home. Working alongside the builder who managed all set-out and markings, we drilled and installed 13 piles at a depth of 12.5 metres each to support the new retaining wall structure. ✅ Drilled piles to 12.5m depth using a dedicated drilling rig ✅ Installed steel reinforcing cages ready for concrete pour ✅ Coordinated closely with the builder to ensure precise pile placement ✅ Managed tight access with existing scaffolding and minimal working room ✅ Worked safely adjacent to a steep drop-off and existing structures ✅ Completed under challenging ground conditions with mixed clays and gravels This job demonstrates our ability to tackle technically challenging sites with limited access while delivering structurally critical foundations to engineer specifications.

TIRI ROAD, ONEROA - WAIHEKE ISLAND

Perched right above Tiri Road in Waiheke Island, this house site came with some serious slope, and some serious challenges. With the road directly below, keeping every bit of material controlled on site was key. We kicked things off by drilling 24 holes for the retaining wall and capping beam, ranging from 5 to 8 metres deep. Once that structure w a s in place, we cut below the wall to prep the foundation platform. Tight access meant working smart, especially around the site container, so we brought in the Steelwrist to dig the footings with precision where space was tight. Another solid bit of groundwork on the island, tough terrain, but tidy results.

ARNEY ROAD, REMUERA

This was a high-end renovation project requiring precision and care from start to finish. We completed the entire earthworks scope, including drilling and installing soldier piles around the basement footprint, then carefully digging between them to form the new building platform. Once the basement platform was complete, we excavated footings, removed the original pool, and later prepped for the new pool install. Our team also contoured and prepped the driveway for the stonemasons to lay premium finishes. The site demanded high attention to detail, we were working in close proximity to the existing house structure for most of the job, including excavating directly beneath sections of the home (as seen in the photos). Our focus was on delivering clean, reliable results while protecting the integrity of the surrounding structures.

TE WHAU DRIVE, WAIHEKE ISLAND

This project was all about creating the base for a premium outdoor area, including a pool, lawn, and landscaped surrounds, all perched on a steep site with killer views. The goal was to reuse as much on- site material as possible, so we used clay from the original house cut to build up the entire pool and lawn platform. From there, we shaped out detailed pool footings to suit the build plans and recontoured the area to ensure proper water flow and site prep. The job was finished with a clean topsoil layer, ready for the landscapers to come through. A tricky site with plenty of detail, and a pretty epic end result.
