About

Holistic House Design is a small architectural design company specialising in residential alterations & additions, as well as new builds.

In private practise for over 30 years, I provide a prompt, friendly, professional design service to homeowners, working hard to optimise the potential of your home and property in ways that maximise construction cost savings.

More than happy to work with you to help bring your ideas to fruition, I pride myself on great communication, keeping you informed of your options every step of the way, while bringing innovative, creative ideas together with a wealth of technical expertise and hands-on practical building experience to the completed design.

I handle all design aspects of the project from meeting with you to receive your brief through to concept design and working drawings until Building Consent is obtained ready for construction to begin. I handle all communications with Council and am also able to prepare Resource Consent applications if required under the District Scheme.

Garage extension
Draughting Services Heathcote, Christchurch
4.0

We engaged Phil to prepare and submit construction drawings to council, and were very happy with the end result. There were a couple of hold ups as Phil was tied up with other things, but we weren't on a tight schedule. His quoted price was extremely competitive, although there were a couple of add on's for RFI's (I imagine the more expensive quotes would have allowed for any additional costs). *Apologies for the late review :)

We are really impressed with the drawings, advice and assistance that Phil (Holistic House Design) provided us in getting consent to renovate our villa. He was always prompt with providing updates and communications, and showed good persistence as we encountered a few engineering hurdles during the consent process. We highly recommend Phil.
