About

With over 10 years of experience in the tiling industry, I have built my career from the ground up, starting as a tiling assistant on large commercial construction projects involving companies such as Naylor Love, NZ Strong and Aspec.

Through these projects, I developed strong technical skills, professional work standards and, most importantly, a genuine passion for tiling and quality workmanship.

I later worked as a subcontractor for Good Guys Tiling for more than five years, gaining extensive experience across a wide range of residential projects.

I particularly enjoy working on high-end homes, where attention to detail, precision and a high-quality finish really matter. This is where I believe our team is at its strongest. We take pride in doing things properly rather than rushing a job, with careful preparation, accurate installation and clean finishing.

Today, we are a professional team of four experienced tilers, capable of managing projects independently from preparation through to completion.

Our goal is simple: quality workmanship, attention to detail, clear communication and a finished result that both we and our clients can be proud of.

Custom Tiled Bath – Waterproofing, Precision Falls & 45° Mitred Mosaic Details

A technically demanding bathroom project featuring a custom-built tiled bath designed to hold water, requiring careful preparation, waterproofing and precise installation throughout. Extra attention was given to the waterproofing system and detailing around all internal corners, junctions and penetrations to ensure the bath area was properly protected before tiling. The bath floor was carefully set out and cut to create clean falls toward the waste while maintaining a balanced and symmetrical layout. The feature mosaic wall required precise joint alignment, with the mosaic carefully cut and 45° mitred around the window reveals to create a clean, continuous finish without bulky trims. A lot of planning, measuring and detailed cutting went into this one — especially around the bath, window and drainage area — with the focus on both appearance and long-term durability.

High-Detail Mosaic Bathroom – Precision Joint Alignment & Mitred Corners

A challenging full bathroom mosaic tiling project completed with a strong focus on precision and detail. The layout required careful planning to keep the grout lines continuous and perfectly aligned across the floors, walls, shower area, columns and different sections of the bathroom. External corners, columns and recessed niches were finished with precise 45° mitred cuts to achieve a clean and seamless look. With such small-format tiles, every line and every cut had to be carefully controlled, as even a slight difference would be noticeable across the finished surface. The entire bathroom was finished with epoxy grout, providing a durable, water-resistant and high-quality finish. One very demanding week of measuring, cutting, aligning and grouting — but a result we’re proud of.

Full Bathroom Tiling – 600x600 Tiles, Mitred Niches & Feature Wall

Complete bathroom tiling using 600x600 tiles throughout the walls and floor, with a vertical feature tile wall. All recessed niches and window reveals were finished with precision 45-degree mitred edges for clean, seamless corners without trims. The project also included detailed tile layout, a linear shower drain and careful alignment throughout. A clean, modern finish with close attention to detail. Completed by SL Tiling Ltd.
