Branch Consulting provides specialist Geotechnical and Structural Engineering services to the residential building industry across Canterbury and the wider South Island. As Chartered Professional Engineers, we deliver practical, buildable, and cost-effective solutions tailored to each project.
Our services include shallow soil investigations (scalar penetrometer and hand-auger testing), comprehensive structural design for residential buildings—including foundations, bracing, beams, retaining walls, and overall structure—along with earthquake damage assessments and repair strategies. We also undertake building consent reviews and provide Producer Statements for Design (PS1), Review (PS2), and Construction Monitoring (PS4).
We have extensive experience with new homes and townhouse developments, as well as additions and alterations to existing buildings. We work closely with our clients, listening carefully to their needs, and are known for being responsive, timely, and focused on delivering budget-appropriate engineering solutions that are practical to construct.
