Dan from PipeX is out here in the world making life better for his customers, honestly, and that's his jam. We found him honest and professional, and he seemed happy to take the time to talk us through our options, explaining what each entailed, and then doing whatever one worked best for us. We wanted to salvage our own hot water cylinder by stripping it back to the copper, and Dan was even cool enough to tell us some tips for doing that! (He said it was messy, time-consuming work and you should put down a tarp and use a square-head spade.) His pricing is great at the moment because he is just setting out with his own business, so that is a bonus but even once PipeX is well established and charging typical market rates, we expect this will be our go-to plumber. Wow, so blown away by the service from Dan (Pipe-X Ltd). Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, really responsive and great communication. Plus, in order to install the new hot water cylinder he pulled in an electrician friend of his, Rob and Theo from Prolight Electrical - they were great, too. So, not only do I now have fantastic hot showers with amazing water pressure but I've found 'my plumber' and 'my electrician'. Dan is amazing. His approach is open and collaborative. Not only is he prompt but an an excellent communicator. We recently got Dan to install a heat pump hot water system, and convert a reticulated gas stove top to LPG bottle. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail is phenomenal as was his untiring work to resolve some niggles with the stove top which were entirely down to poor support from SMEG.
