14B Victoria AvenueThe job was part of a renovation the owner wanted to change load load-bearing wall location and also had more space for parking beside the house. So, we had a site visit and indicated changing the load-bearing wall by using a special lintel beam. To have more space, the existing mass stone retaining wall will be changed to a block wall.
This report outlines the recommendations for the failed concrete crib wall at 49 Collingwood Street. No geotechnical investigation has been conducted while this report has been prepared. The significant settlement observed behind the crib wall indicates that the ground in a substantial portion of the yard has experienced failure. We hold the belief that there is no viable remediation option for the existing retaining wall, and it is recommended that a new retaining wall be designed against the slope.
