The only thing this company needs to fix is there pricing and their customer service. Got a quote to fix a small brick pillar they quoted me $1600.00 for a tiny job where I have already demolished the pilar and on top of that also had my own supply of bricks. This means that all they would need to do is tidy up some of the existing brick work, get some mortar and put it all together. Simple 2-3 maybe 4 hour job ill give it to them. However in the plane Jane email they sent me they couldn't give an accurate price just an estimate and they didn't specify if it was including or excluding gst and on top of that they told me IN WRITING!!! that there would be no warranty on the job. Umm Hellooo im %120 percent certain that is completely illegal you can't do a job and say its not warranted even if it is a repair as you specified in the email. (Will be taking full advantage of my consumer nz membership in regards to this) But wait it gets WORSE in the email they also stated that the job "will not look perfect" mate for $1600 bucks I want Katseye concert and gold plated bricks. If your going to over price at least offer some form of value. If your over head costs vary that much compared to other businesses might be time for a restructure not. Bottom line this company is a near complete scam. If bricklaying isn't your thing you guys should have simply told me instead of wasting my time. PSA: if your wondering why the photo of the bricks is at night its cause I didn't anticipate they would ever be relevant and took a photo at 10pm at night to show that I did in fact have bricks there is also more out the back as well. Reply: We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed. Our estimate reflected removal of remaining damaged brickwork, careful rebuild of the pillar, mortar matching, compliance with current building standards, insurance cover, and full project management under our company structure. As a licensed and insured business, our pricing can differ from that of an individual trade working independently. Regarding warranty, all work completed by Fix This Property Solutions complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act. Our note referred only to pre-existing structural or impact damage outside the repair scope. We wish you all the best with your project and appreciate the opportunity to provide an estimate.
