Kurt always approached the work in a careful, thoughtful and professional way, focussed on the best way to solve the many small problems that arise in renovating an old house. He always went the extra mile, doing things not specified in the contract (like addressing borer damage or a bow in the ceiling beams) out of a concern for the final quality of the work. A slight cost and time over-run were due primarily to sub-contactors rather than Kurt himself.
