We are a local family owned business based in Tawa but happy to work anywhere in the Wellington /Kapiti area. I am a licensed building practitioner so I can sign off any building work required. Reduce Deck size and porch reconstruction

Jordan and Hamish completed a modification to an existing deck and porch for us. They were quick to respond and completed the job on time and inside budget despite the weather trying to rain them off. The are a professional and skilled pair of builders with great communication. The job was finished to a good standard, reusing materials where possible to reduce our costs and they cleaned up and took away rubbish from the site. We found the process very easy and stress free.

I really recommend Jordan and Rākau Construction Limited, for the job they completed on replacing fence posts on the cortens fence, fantastic communication and really quick to visit site and quote. Work was completed within days of the estimate being accepted. The site was left in an immaculate state. The final account was less than the estimate which was a very pleasant surprise. Thanks for the work guys, you will be my first call for any other work needing done

Wall and gable cladding - repair or replace

Jordan and Hamish did a great job fixing and replacing some rotting out areas of exterior cladding around our house and garage. They had a couple of days downtime and came round almost instantly to quote. Started the job two days later and were all done an dusted in another two days. On time and budget. Really happy with the work and fully recommend Rākau Construction for any building work

Deck replacement job

Rākau Construction completed a large (100m²) deck replacement for us. This included replacing decking boards, balustrades, and remediating issues with joists and posts. All on a challenging site. Jordan and Hamish were brilliant to deal with - good communicators, diligent, respectful, and highly-skilled. We'll use them again.

Had the team from Rākau fix a failing butynol deck and balustrades. They worked with me to keep the costs down and provided regular updates which were appreciated. Satisfied with the finished product and price. Highly recommended.
