We have two houses potentially in need of electric elements to be replaced by Gas. One house already has a gas connection for hot water, and the other is scheduled to be fitted in December. We would potentially do the jobs at different times, but would take advice on best approach. Both would be bench top hobs only, and need to be more practical than beautiful.

Install a gas fireplace

We have bought a gas fireplace off TradeMe and want to look at getting it installed. We are looking at putting cupboards either side of it and a shelf over the top and so we'd like some advice about whether we can flue it straight out the back (it's an exterior wall) or whether it has to go straight up through the roof. We have infinity gas along the same exterior wall (we have a tight budget and so would like to get an idea of the cost).

Gas water heater replacement

Parents house currently has gas hot water but the water heater is old and rusty suspect its not working as good as it could be. Looking for someone to supply and install a new one. Have considered either rinnai or bosch. If possibly would like to upgrade to the multi room controller system.

Gas blockage

No gas in our property in Evans Bay. Supplier came out and replaced the meter and regulator at the box. Still no gas. We are in the Greta point townhouses. Likely blockage in line as water had entered the meter and or regulator.

I need to have a gas stove and range hood installed. The range hood will need to be installed, connected and outlet created as currently none installed. The gas stove will need to be connected too, I think the existing electric plug will need to be moved. I will be running the strove through a gas bottle outside so all connections etc will need to sorted too. Looking for an electrician and gas fitter that can work together on this job.

Replace old gas hob with new (supplied) gas hob

I need someone to remove a westinghouse gas hob and install a de longi gas hob in its place. I have the de longi. It is brand new out of the box, with new gas regulator, fastenings etc. it is for natural gas and the de longi is already set up for that. No (or minimal) cutting of the joinery is required as the de longi fits into the same gap as the westinghouse. The existing gas line has a shut off valve just before the regulator and is located just beneath the existing hob and is easily accessib...
