Not sure how much work is involved - all sides of the house require repair. We'd prefer the job to be completed by Jan/Feb next year.

Mortar grind out and fill

Posted 1 year ago

My small laundry pictured has started leaking through the mortar. We had this problem after the earthquakes and some was repaired but now it looks as though the other side is in need of repair also. I think what was done last time was the mortar ground out and refilled so am guessing the same on this side and down the bottom needs to be done again also. So just some work to the wall and around the bottom to make it weather tight again.

Bricklayer - Brick mailbox for residential house

We have left over bricks from our new build house and are looking for a brick layer to build us a brick mail box - simple design/square shape. We are not sure how long this takes or how much it would cost so need an idea of how much we will have to spend on this. We would like to have this done in the next couple of weeks preferably. We do have the bricks but no cement mixer/tools or other equipment that might be needed to carry out this job so the trades person would need to have this. We woul...

Line concrete fire place with fire bricks

Posted 7 months ago

We have a newish build that has a concrete fireplace or ‘barbeque’ feature outside. We got a bit excited and lit a fire directly on the concrete and a thin layer of the concrete on the back wall exploded as you will see in the pictures. We haven’t used it since - but with Christmas coming we’d really like to be able to use this again safely without having to worry. We don’t need a perfect drawing outdoor fire - we just need to be able to light it if we’re having a couple of drinks and know t...
