Our only regret is that we didn't have Taryn & Phil on board from the very start. We were quite a way down the design phase before they were recommended to us, but nonetheless they stepped in and added a level of calm to what felt like an overwhelming stressful process. Due to the significant cost increases since covid we had to make a number of compromises to our wish list in order to meet our budget. Taryn was great at keeping our eye on the prize ensuring any variation was for the right reason. Phil's eye for detail and workmanship has resulted in beautifully finished home that doesn't look or feel like we compromised anything. The site was kept clean and tidy and the Bowness team, and wider businesses involved in our build, were respectful of our time, our soon to be home, our property and us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking of building, be it for the first time or the sixth time. Reply: It was an absolute pleasure Nikky. We built our wonderful new home with Phil and Taryn two years ago. We built during one of the most challenging times this industry has seen in recent years due to the effects of Covid. This was a time of rapid price changes for product and freight plus availability for basic supplies like GIB board and Pink Batts. Despite all this going on Taryn and Phil were amazing to deal with on our build right from when it was in the early planning phase right through to build completion. We were lucky that their sound planning and advice from the beginning meant we were not caught up with issues relating to product availability and our build timeline stayed on track. I found their pricing model not only fair but also very transparent. When you use a local build team such as Bowness Built I believe you get a better overall outcome as compared to the larger nationwide build companies. Their good communication was appreciated, always responding to our questions or requests for information. Phil and Taryn could always give suggestions or advice about decisions we needed to make along the way from the major structural decisions to the finer interior choices. They worked alongside us and with their contractors to get the best possible result and finish for our new home. We are completely in love with our home. It is our sanctuary. We first meet Phil of Bowness Built Ltd when seeking someone to replace veranda posts on our previous property. His no-nonsense get on and do it approach had us keep Bowness Built in mind for future projects. Sometime later, Phill willingly quoted for a reno project of an older property we were considering, but eventually did not go ahead with. Moving on, we again called Phil to renovate our current property, encompassing a makeover of the kitchen, main bathroom, ensuite, laundry, and some exterior claddi ng work. All work is now completed, and we are happy with the outcome, professionally completed to high standard. Phil willingly undertook several variations during the course of the task and closed off the project with final quality inspection.
