About

Kia ora! I’m the owner of Strickland Builders, a small building company based in Christchurch. I started the business after years working hands-on as a carpenter across the UK and New Zealand. Building has always been more than a job for me it’s a craft, and I take pride in delivering work that’s solid, tidy, and built to last.

Who We Are

Strickland Builders is currently a one-man operation, backed by a trusted network of local subcontractors I’ve worked with over the years. This means you get the personal service, attention to detail, and accountability of a small business, with the capability to take on projects of all sizes — from renovations and repairs to new builds, extensions, and eco-friendly upgrades.

How I Approach a New Project

I believe good communication is the foundation of good building. When you reach out, I take the time to understand what you want to achieve, how you live in your space, and what matters most to you. I’m upfront about costs, timeframes, and potential challenges, and I work with you to find solutions that are practical, sustainable, and tailored to your needs.
