Hello wellington ! My name is Tamati and ive been working in various parts of construction all around the place for the past 7 years. After finishing school at Hutt International Boys School and go stuck into a carpentry apprenticeship and loved every minute of being onsite. Ive worked for 2 different building companies , and dipped my toes in a few different parts of the construction industry since the age of 17 - where ive always managed to keep a great reputation, both on a personal level with the teams and a professional level within the trades.
Growing up with a painter for a father i often spent my school holidays on construction sites painting and/or plastering - giving me a good base for becoming a "good worker" he says ... although workers are supposed to be paid right? Haha ! 🤣
I have a strong attention to detail and enjoy working on problem solving situations , both individually and as a team. I am confident in my skills/abilities and am willing to bring constructive ideas to the table when suitable. I pride myself on clean and tidy work and i enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the finished project , knowing in my mind that the job was done right, on time and within the agreed budget or set price. Im a people person who is always happy to chat about the job and keep the client informed on any changes , if any.
Important note: i am currently still employed as a builder here in wellington right now, however i am available to take on small-medium projects that can be completed over a weekend or an accumulation of weekend work. 🤝 including but not limited to things like:
garden-boxes, gib replacements, non-structural framing walls, ceilings and floors, small decks/outdoor living areas, retaining walls , roof rescrew, handy work and bits and bobs around the property if you are selling!
