Heartland Landscapes
About
Heartland Landscapes is a Christchurch-based landscape construction business, owned and operated by Trent Lawn. We work across Christchurch and surrounding areas, delivering both smaller works and complete outdoor builds from early ideas through to construction.
Our work includes decking, pergolas, fencing and screens, retaining walls, paving and patios, driveways, outdoor living areas, fire pits, drainage, irrigation, lawns (natural and artificial), and planting.
For projects where layouts, levels, or site constraints come into play, our process usually starts with a conversation and site visit to get a clear gauge of what you’re wanting to achieve. From there we can talk through options, provide practical guidance around layout and design, set budget expectations, and then prepare a clear quote. Once agreed, works are scheduled and the build phase is carried out.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch to talk through your project and options.

Highly recommend Heartland Landscapes! Trent was superb to deal with from helping us plan our outdoor space, giving advice on plants and the deck, executing the job on time and within budget and then giving advice on looking after our investment for years to come. Trent is truely excellent at his craft, and a bloody good bugger too. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Cheers Trent for our excellent result. Reply: Thanks Jack, you guys have been an absolute pleasure. We appreciate the work and hope you enjoy your new home!

Heartland Landscapes was the only company to actually reply to my inquires. Trent and his team did an amazing job demolishing my old fence, levelling my section, ripping out old tree roots and pouring a concrete slab and path. They were a genuine pleasure to have around and always left the area neat and tidy at the end of each day. Got it done in excellent time too, started on Wednesday and finished by the following Friday. Reply: Thanks Jackson, really appreciate the kind words mate. Was a pleasure working with you and awesome to see the transformation come together. Enjoy the new space!

Trent recently completed a flagstone pathway for our cottage. It has turned out to be a real feature. Our ordinary entrance has been transformed into something unique. Can't stop looking at it... Thanks Trent

Heartland Landscapes demolished and erected a boundary fence for us recently. I found Trent to be very approachable and easy to work with, I would highly recommend him and would definately use him again. Results say it all below.

Trent listened to what I wanted and added stunning ideas of his own. He transformed my new build garden into a beautiful calm, zen like space. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. 5 months later and I asked Trent to return as I had a few more ideas to run by him. Together we decided where to carry on the stepping stone path, site a greenhouse, and make a new place for a particular tree I wanted. He then took it to the next level adding an arrangement of rocks to the new garden and installing a swing for my grandchildren (and myself!) His knowledge and experience of where to put all these things is incomparable. Moving some raised beds - no problem. Creating a wooden stepping path across the garden with left over macrocarpa - easy. To top it off he has installed a super easy watering system around the garden and even in my greenhouse with instructions (very important). I am now enjoying my garden so much and watching it flourish. Thank you Trent. Reply: Thanks so much! It’s been a pleasure working with you across both stages and seeing everything come together. Really glad you’re enjoying the garden, it’s been a pleasure.

Trent (Heartland Landscapes) turned an eyesore into an outdoor space that will be well used. Trent goes the extra mile, has ideas on how to transform nothing to something quite exceptional. Would recommend Heartland Landscapes in heartbeat!!
