Hi, I'm a qualified builder and have 25 years experience in commercial and residential building including site and project management. I was part of a team who won NZ Commercial Builder of the year in 2010 and have managed many other building sites within the Waikato.

In our latest kitchen project, we revitalized an outdated, tired space into a modern culinary haven. The new layout features innovative solutions such as a convenient pull-out shelf and a spacious pull-out pantry, maximizing storage and accessibility. Equipped with all-new appliances, stunning stone benchtops, and designated space for a double fridge freezer, this kitchen is both functional and stylish. Additionally, a dedicated coffee station adds a touch of personalization, making this space perfect for both everyday cooking and entertaining. The transformation has truly redefined the heart of the home.

Chartwell bathroom renovation

The Chartwell project transformed a tired home into a stunning, modern living space. By removing outdated cupboards we were able to enlarge the bathroom footprint, allowing for the installation of a spacious, contemporary suite. This luxurious new bathroom features a large 1600x1000 tiled shower, complete with elegant LED-lit niches, and a beautifully tiled floor that enhances the overall aesthetic. The result is a perfect blend of functionality and style, elevating the home's atmosphere to one of absolute luxury.

Awesome crew. Job was not completed on time BUT that was mostly due to Covid upsetting delivery of materials etc. Not too much of a major for us though as A Mac still made the area safe enough for us to operate and they would come in on the weekends or after hours to complete any work. Super happy with the turn out of the project and love that Alistair re-used parts of the old structure as well as 2nd hand materials to help keep the cost down. Definitely recommend hiring this team!

Update bathroom

90% of the building side of the job was fine. The plumbing work was done afterhours and was poorly done. After 3 leaks we had enough and got in our normal plumber to sort the issues. The leaks resulted in damage to jib, wallpaper in passage, this we will sort out.
