2 Mons AvenueWe had the opportunity to work on this roof down in Takanini for a few days last month January. Our lovely clients explained to us the number of leaks they had on their roofs. After our inspection, it was obvious to spot a number of issues with the downpipe box of the internal gutter as well as a number of cracks on the parapet, and the capping tiles needed to be sealed too. We also notice a number of cracks on the Hips and Ridges of the Roof, and some broken tiles too. To solve the leaks, we used Easygum Liquid Membrane from Waterproofing Warehouse and Aquaseal topcoat, on the parapet, in the internal gutter as well as the ridges and the hips. We are now 100% guaranteed the leak issues our clients had are now in the past.
We had the opportunity to subcontract for one of our Partners on this project. The job consisted of overlaying GAF Everguard TPO membrane over an existing and leaky butynol membrane. We use Fleece back TPO Membrane as requested by the Builder, and the plain TPO Membrane for the upstands and the internal gutter box. It hasn't been an easy task but the completion of the job looks amazing. Off to the next projects.
Leaks in garages below ground level are very common in New Zealand. Why, because for the past years, The Building Code at the time did not impose some regulations until now after the rise of leaks, fungal growth and excessive moisture in our homes. This is the issue we had to deal with in this project. The retaining wall which is part of the garage enclosed hasn't been waterproofed from the outside. And as a result of that, our clients had a leak on their carpet and the rise of efflorescence on the wall was very visible which was a concern for their health and safety conditions. We took the challenge on board and first did a good preparation work by removing the carpet away from the wall, wire brushing the wall to remove any signs of moist and dampness off the wall for better adhesion of the membrane to the wall, and sealing holes on the wall with some mortar cement. Then applied a 3-coating system of Aquaguard 101 Liquid membrane on the wall reinforced with fibre glass matt on joints and cracks. And now the garage is free of leaks and moisture for our lovely clients to enjoy their newly renovated space.
It was another great opportunity for us to be out of Auckland for another project. We were called to take on the renovation of a couple of leaky flat roofs. The existing membrane was butynol and we recommended GAF TPO membrane Everguard instead for the completion of the project. You can admire the outcome of the finished product.
We did a great number of chimney renovations in the past but this job was a very unique type of project. The brackets of the chimney flute were rusted, causing it to lean to one side. We could also see the cracks around the chimney were quite severe. First, we proceeded with some concrete repair work as well as repositioning the chimney flute to the center. Then completed the waterproofing part with 3 coats of Easygum Liquid membrane reinforced with fibre glass matt. To finish off the project, we painted the chimney with some exterior paint provided by the client to match the one of the house. Job completed just in time before the property was put on the market, and the roof report was a past too. So we were very happy to be part of this and to see the joy of the final result of our lovely and sweet clients.
We had the opportunity to take on this project based in Te Atatu Peninsula. Our clients had a leak right below this roof, into their Master bedroom. After our inspection, it was very clear to identify the cause of the leaks. The existing single layer Torch on Flat roof was cleaned, laps and drip edge torched down, and we then completed a 4 coating system of Liquid membrane reinforced with fibre glass matt using Easy Flashing and Chevaline Dexx Topcoat. Admire the result. The leak problem is solved.
