Sika quoted $360 then invoiced me for $640 due to “a slight price variation” in materials (for one component of the job). When I asked to see the timber receipt he had only spent $180 - not enough to justify the extra charge. When I didn’t pay the increase he turned up at my house unannounced to demand it. I ended up paying $640 for a job that cost him $180 plus 2 hours labour. To make things worse, the edging he installed has already fallen over, and he hasn’t completed the second garden.
