Momo sought out to become a craftsman from a young age where he trained in South- East Germany learning traditional furniture making and graduating with honours. In 2016 Momo moved to New Zealand and became inspired by its natural beauty. The forests, mountains and oceans have shaped his work and he draws inspiration from the natural elements.
Momo’s approach to cabinet making is about honouring traditional techniques whilst adopting a sustainable approach and respecting the environment. His designs are clean and well considered with durability at the forefront of his work. Working with wood for Momo, is not only a practice but a creative expression. He describes it as a deeply rewarding exercise in patience that involves slowing down and enjoying the challenge that working with timber presents.
