Removing bracing connecting the rafters and joist.

I want to make some space for ducted heatpump indoor unit in the ceiling and need to remove one of the wooden leg connecting one of the rafter and ceiling joist. I think its not load bearing brace , its just holding the joist. The wooden leg or brace i want to remove is in the photo 1 . The photo 2 is the one how i want to make it. Adding wooden legs on both sides under the rafters and removing the middle one. Please advise.

Road frontage boundary location

Our property (No6) and our neighbours (No4), although accessed from Everleigh Court, both bound Petersburg drive. Both properties have a bank outside the fence line which we are considering retaining. We cannot find any of the boundary pegs for either property on the Petersburg Drive frontage to assist in determining how we could locate any retaining. We need a cost to locate the Petersburg drive boundary line for each property.
