Blocked drain. ridgeway.

Hi. The drain is blocked about 1 meter from the surface. The reason its blocked is because once per year we have millions of tiny pohutakawa flowers that go everywhere; then turn to mush after a few weeks. And it's this muddy stuff in the drain. Is there any way it can be sucked out? Or does it need to be water blaster further along the drain (which runs under our house)??
