I am currently talking to council about my options... will make contact as soon as I know what my obligations are. We live on a steep slope, one house back from the cliffs on the Waitemata. After 2 months of rain the clay is no longer absorbing any runoff . Every time it rains theres a stream of water that flows out of my lawn down my neighbours driveway. Also the water seems to be flowing under the driveway across my other neighbours terrace and under his neighbours house. As there has been slip damage on the houses on the cliff this is of great concern. Ideally we need to redo the drainage - its the runoff from the roof and driveway. Either by digging the mother of all soakholes, or putting in rainwater tanks for garden use. Might have to put in several smaller ones because of the slope. I'm open to suggestion as I am no expert. This is pretty urgent, so if you can help please contact me.
