Job description

Hot Water Cylinder Plumbing & Installation
Christchurch

Published: 29 February 2020

I require a 300 L Rheem outdoor mains pressure hot water cylinder connected. Cylinder is a Rheem Optima, 300 L, twin element, manufactured 2018, removed from a house mid 2019. Inlet valve and pressure relief vale are already fitted. I also have an Apex tempering valve and an unknown valve. Both pictured. House has original 1960 galvanised steel pipe, which appears to be in good condition. Main hot and cold water lines are immediately inside the wall behind the cylinder. Intend of fulling re-plumbing in the next 2 years. Old low pressure cylinder and header tank will need to be disconnected and drained, but left in place. I will arrange electrical connection. Would also like a plugged take off point or garden tap installed on the cold line to the new cylinder for a future garden hose supply. Under house access is via a internal cupboard, approximately 400 - 500 mm clearance, with a ground vapor barrier installed.
