Job description

Drainlaying
Christchurch

Published: 2 October 2017

I have a small drain for surface water in my driveway in front of the garage. This does not cope with the amount of surface water in excessive rainstorms and results in the excess building up the front of the garage door and then seeping under and causing surface flooding inside the garage. I paid for a drain CCTV and they went 14.5 meters and advised there were no issues with the actual pipe line and that it works under normal rain fall. As far as I can tell the existing drain meets up with the down pipe in the corner. What would be the cost of installing a Chanel & crate in front along the front of the garage and would this even work. The width is approx 4.7 metres from the step to the concrete garden edging Also is consent required to do this work ? Quotes for total job - digging the trench, channels, grates, connecting the drain. I can patch the tar seal myself once laid and connected. Ignore the black objects in the photos - these are quick dams that I have used to try to prevent the surface flooding
