Repair Bathroom Wall Crack Near Door Frame

Rototuna, Hamilton

A vertical crack is visible where the door trim meets the wall. The crack runs from just above the baseboard to approximately mid-height of the door hinge. It appears to be caused by separation between the trim and drywall or settling in the wall structure. The gap width is inconsistent but appears to be less than 1/8 inch. Inspect for any movement or continued widening of the crack over time. Apply caulk or joint compound to fill the gap, sand smooth, and repaint.
